A Moment in Time, a Place in History...

Registered as a national historic landmark, the Hilton Ft. Worth has welcomed many famous and important guests. None would prove to be more significant than President John F. Kennedy and the First Lady, Jacqueline. Using the hotel as a backdrop, the young President addressed the thousands who had gathered to catch a glimpse of America’s most popular political figure. His final speech came minutes later in the hotel’s Crystal Ballroom where 2,000 were assembled to join the President and First Lady for breakfast. In only a few short hours the hotel would go down in history as the place where President JFK spent his last night.

History has found a home here, from the hotel’s early days in the 1920’s, when the rowdy cattle town of Ft. Worth suddenly found itself awash in a new kind of wealth: oil money. Now, what was once billed as “the South’s Greatest Lobby” has been reborn as Ft. Worth’s finest accommodations. You can see it in a staff that is passionately dedicated to creating a first class experience.

You can experience it through services that attain perfection. This is a setting as exceptional today as it is meaningful to history. Experience it all.

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is the only museum in the world dedicated to honoring women of the American West who have displayed extraordinary courage and pioneer spirit in their trailblazing efforts. You’ll experience 33,000 square feet of fun and education, featuring interactive exhibits, artifacts from the permanent collection, a traveling exhibit gallery, multi-purpose theater, expanded research library, Wild West Show-themed gift shop and a grand rotunda where visitors can learn about the 158 women in the museum’s Hall of Fame.

The oldest art museum in Texas is now the newest – and perhaps the grandest. With 153,000 square feet of space, the new Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is the second largest museum of its kind in America, second only to the MOMA in New York. Designed by noted Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the building incorporated five long, flat-roofed pavilions on a 1.5-acre pond. According to Vanity Fair magazine, the new Modern will likely catapult Fort Worth “to one of the great art destinations in the world.”

The Texas Motor Speedway has 150,000 seats and encompasses 1000 acres. Tours are available.

The building now known as Billy Bob’s was built in 1910 as an open air cattle barn. It now provides fun for 6000+ people with a concert stage, dance floor, restaurant, arcade, casino, and live bull riding arena. During World War II, the building was once used as an airplane factory for the Globe Aircraft Corporation.
